The 2009 GMC Sierra 1500 Crew Cab is the most popular configuration in the GMC Truck lineup. You can get the Sierra in a regular cab and extended cab, but everyone wants the full 4 doors which is offered on the Crew Cab Model. The GMC Trucks have more power, higher towing capacities, the widest range of available options, quietest ride, while providing better fuel economy and power than any truck on the market.
The most popular Engine in the GMC 1500 Sierra Crew Cab is the 5.3L V8 engine with active fuel management. The active fuel management allows the truck to run on 4 cylinders at cruising speeds when the power is not needed, allowing the GMC Truck to get increased fuel economy. The 5.3L Engine delivers 315 horsepower and 338 lb-ft torque. The 2WD has a towing capacity of 8200 pounds and the 4WD has a towing capacity of 8900 pounds. You can also get the V6 and smaller 4.8L V8 engine in the Sierra Crew Cab. The V6 has 195 horsepower while the smaller V8 offers 295 Horsepower. 2009 GMC ACADIA PRICES AND COMPARISONS
The 2009 GMC Acadia has to be one of the most popular vehicles GM has ever made. The 2009 models are coming to the year end close and supplies are starting to dwindle so now is the time to get the best prices!
The 2009 GMC Acadia has several different configurations, but it seems many are looking for the same one. Most customers want the SLT1 package with the leather interior, DVD player, Double Sunroof, Second Row Captain Chairs, Remote Start, and Power Lift Gate.
There are other features that some will want on the Acadia, like the Navigation system, but now OnStar offers voice activated Navigation to your destination. It is hard to argue the fact of pushing a button, telling the address you are traveling to, and getting voice guided messages through your speakers so you never have to look at a screen in the dash.
The 2009 GMC Acadia has been the most popular vehicle I have seen in my 10 years on a GM lot. I think one reason is because of the appeal to men and women. It is beefy enough that your husband will say he likes it, plus it is a GMC! Your Wife will love it because of the ride and handling and attention to detail inside. There are numerous cup holders, phone auxiliary jacks, storage, and luxury items.
I am going to let you in on a little secret in the Car Business and especially when it comes to a hot product like the GMC Acadia. Your local dealers are fighting for business right now and are getting crazy over price competition. Do you hate the haggle process and always wonder if you got the best deal? Get your price quote online and select all your local dealers and they will fight for your business and I guarantee you will get the best price. Get your 2009 GMC Acadia Price Quotes FREE!

TAX BREAK For New Car Purchases This Year
THIS IS COPIED FROM THE irs.gov WEBSITE TO SHOW CUSTOMERS THAT THERE ARE TAX SAVINGS TO BUY A CAR THIS YEAR! The taxes paid can be taken off your taxes next year even if you do not itemize.
Special Tax Break Available for New Car Purchases This Year
IR-2009-30, March 30, 2009
WASHINGTON — The Internal Revenue Service announced today that taxpayers who buy a new passenger vehicle this year may be entitled to deduct state and local sales and excise taxes paid on the purchase on their 2009 tax returns next year.
“For those thinking about buying a new car this year, this deduction may give them a little more drive to make their purchase this year,” said IRS Commissioner Doug Shulman. “This deduction enables taxpayers to buy now and get cash back later on their tax returns.”
The deduction is limited to the state and local sales and excise taxes paid on up to $49,500 of the purchase price of a qualified new car, light truck, motor home or motorcycle.
The amount of the deduction is phased out for taxpayers whose modified adjusted gross income is between $125,000 and $135,000 for individual filers and between $250,000 and $260,000 for joint filers.
IRS also alerted taxpayers that the vehicle must be purchased after Feb. 16, 2009, and before Jan. 1, 2010, to qualify for the deduction.
The special deduction is available regardless of whether a taxpayer itemizes deductions on their return. The IRS reminded taxpayers the deduction may not be taken on 2008 tax returns.

New Chevy Camaro

This is what a retro remake should look like. It is no wonder Pontiac took a dive with the remake of the GTO, but everyone knows Chevy has always been the big brother for GM.
The movie "Transformers" may have brought some attention to the new Camaro, but the retro remake will keep the baby boomers in the Chevy showrooms!
I do have one question though. I work at a Pontiac store with multiple lines to include Buick and GMC, but Pontiac has always been our best seller so why get rid of an American Heritage like Pontiac? I know you have to look at overseas sales and all that, but it does not seem right. Anyway, this post was to hale the Chevy Camaro, not to cry about Pontiac.

Dirty Car Salesman Joke
An elderly Executive was entering the office saying hello to the receptionist and office workers when the young female receptionist asked,
"Did you go off and leave the garage door open this morning."
The Executive replied,
"No, I remembered to close the garage door." And went on to his office.
A little later he noticed that his pants were unzipped and realized what the receptionist was trying to tell him. He went back down to her office and said,
"I got to thinking about the garage door and I believe I did leave it open this morning and was just wondering if you saw my Hummer parked inside."
The quick thinking receptionist replied,
"No, all I saw was a Mini-Van sitting on 2 flat tires."

Auto Parts To Keep Your Chevy And GMC Trucks And SUVs Running Strong
Auto Parts To Keep Your Chevy and GMC Trucks and SUVs Running Strong
An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. While it may sound like just another cliché, it is great advice if you want to keep your truck or SUV on the road and running strong. Looking over your vehicle on a regular basis will help you catch any small problems that need to be addressed now, and prevent them from turning into a larger more expensive ordeal. Ensure that the following auto parts are working properly to keep your vehicle in tip-top shape.
Auto Parts Under the Hood
Ensure your radiator is operating at peak performance especially with a hot summer right around the corner. An unplanned pit stop due to engine overheating will ruin anyone's day. Make sure your radiator hoses are in good shape and aren't showing any sign of deterioration. Since you're already under the hood, take a look at some of the components of the electrical system. The alternator
should be checked to make certain it continues to charge the battery during driving. The ignition coil also needs to be working properly. It is responsible for taking low voltage and converting it to the higher voltage needed to spark the spark plugs. Installing a new set of spark plugs is a great way to ensure the engine is running efficiently. Replace any vacuum hoses that appear brittle or worn. Be sure to check on your brake fluid levels when you check all of your other fluids under the hood.
Fuel System Parts
The fuel system is an overlooked but very important aspect of your vehicle's performance. If you have a carburetor, make sure it is clean and functioning properly. Checking the fuel pump and installing a fresh fuel filter will make sure your engine is getting all the gas it needs. Fuel pump problems may be related to a blown fuse or a bad fuel pump relay.
Exhaust and Emissions Parts
If you find your exhaust manifold is rusty, it may be time for a new one before it starts to leak. A PCV valve (positive crankcase ventilation) is responsible for evacuating gases from inside the engine's crankcase. The older the truck, the more important it is that the PCV valve is working properly as leaking gases increase with the age of the vehicle. The EGR valves helps your vehicle burn fuel more efficiently by recirculating some of the exhaust and putting it through combustion again. This part is essential to the emissions system and must be replaced once it goes bad. Another essential part to the emissions system is the oxygen sensor, which determines if the air fuel mixture is too rich or too lean.
Interior Essentials
Don't neglect the interior of your vehicle. Replace your cabin air filter to keep the air inside your truck fresh and breathable.
Replace that burned-out dome light so you can find that change that fell between the seats. Fixing the all the small interior problems will help restore your truck to it's original glory. You'll make it feel like the first day you drove it off the lot.
